Prepare. Maintain. Defend.
"...who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle."
Delayed: If your background check comes back as “Delayed,” we must hold the firearm until we receive a final decision or the transaction times out under applicable law. We’ll contact you with updates as we receive them.
Denied: If your background check is denied, we cannot transfer the firearm to you. We’ll follow all legal requirements regarding the disposition or return of the firearm to the originating FFL or seller. In some cases, shipping and/or restocking fees will apply.
If you believe a denial or delay is in error, we can point you toward the appropriate NICS appeal and state-level resources so you can request a review of your record.
We do not see the reason for any firearm related NICS Delayed or Denial. All we see is proceed, delayed, denied.

Absolutely. P144 Armory specializes in one on one guidance with no pressure or ego.
We’ll talk you through how you plan to use the firearm, your experience level, your budget, and your preferences for size, recoil, and features. From there, we’ll walk you through a short list of options that make sense for you, not for a checklist.
Our goal is simple: find the correct firearm for your exact needs.
Firearms: All firearm sales are final once the transfer is completed and the firearm has been legally transferred to you. If there is an issue before the transfer is finalized, contact us and the originating FFL immediately.
Non-firearm items: New, unused items in original packaging may typically be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase or delivery. Used, installed, or modified items may be subject to a restocking fee or may not be eligible for return.
Defects: Most manufacturing defects are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. We’re happy to help you start a warranty claim or connect you with the appropriate contact.
Exact terms may vary by product and brand. If you’re unsure about a specific item, reach out before you purchase so we can clarify the policy.

Yes! Consigning a firearm is a 4 step process.
- First step is to bring your firearm in for evaluation. This is where we will determine your firearm's market value based on it's current condition and compare that with similar firearms that have recently sold.
- Second step is to agree upon a reasonable retail and minimum sale price based on the evaluation. You will then sign a Consignment Agreement allowing us to sell your firearm for you.
- Third step is all on us! We will take pictures of your firearm and list it for sale in our shop and online.
- Fourth step is when your firearm sells. We will handle the entire shipping process and notify you that your firearm has sold. Customer proceeds will be mailed by check approximately two weeks after the sale is completed, allowing time for paperwork, payment processing, and funds to clear, subject to P144 Armory policy and applicable law.
Please see our consignment page for more details.
Yes! We are interested in both individual items as well as entire collections. Please contact us to make an appointment where we will sit down to evaluate your firearm(s) and discuss our purchasing options. If you have an entire collection please email Chris@p144armory.com
Most purchases are completed the same day, as long as your background check is approved without delay. If you have a valid Texas License to Carry, the process is often faster once your 4473 is complete and payment is finished.
Delays can occur if the NICS background check is flagged for further review. In those cases, the review may take up to three business days, and we cannot complete the transfer until we receive a final response.
When purchasing a firearm from P144 Armory, you’ll need:
A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID (typically a Texas driver’s license with current address).
Proof of Texas residency if your address is not shown on your ID.
You must be at least 18 for Long guns and 21 for Handguns/Other/Nfa
You must be legally allowed to own or possess firearms under federal and state law.
If you have a valid Texas License to carry (LTC), bring it with you.
You’ll complete ATF Form 4473 and undergo a background check (or permit verification where allowed by law) at the time of purchase.
The ATF requires all buyers to complete Form 4473 and undergo a NICS background check unless a qualifying exemption applies.
