If you are having a firearm shipped to us, please contact us before the firearm arrives. This helps us track the shipment, confirm the transfer information, and process everything as smoothly as possible once it gets here.

When Your Firearm Arrives
Please do not come in for pickup just because tracking shows the package was delivered.
Tracking may show delivered before the firearm has been checked in, logged, and prepared for transfer. Once your firearm arrives, please allow 24–48 hours for processing.
We work to process transfers as quickly as possible, but check-in time may vary depending on workload, shipment volume, and paperwork accuracy. We will contact you once your transfer is ready for pickup.
Requirements at Pickup
All firearm transfers must be completed in person at P144 Armory.
To pick up a transferred firearm, you must provide a valid, current, government-issued photo ID showing your current residential address.
If your photo ID does not show your current address, you may need approved supplemental government-issued documentation, such as municipal documentation, showing proof of address.
P144 Armory may also accept qualifying military orders and CAC cards when applicable. Military orders must establish Texas residency or assignment in Texas and must be current and valid.
You must also meet all legal age and residency requirements:
-
Must be 18 or older to receive a long gun
-
Must be 21 or older to receive a handgun, frame, receiver, or any other firearm requiring the recipient to be 21 or older.
-
Must be a Texas resident
-
ID must be current and up to date
-
Residency must be properly established
-
All required paperwork must be completed
All firearm transfers require completion of ATF Form 4473.
P144 Armory can only transfer firearms to customers who are legally eligible to receive and possess the firearm.
Background Checks and Texas LTC
Customers must either pass the required background check through NICS or present a valid Texas License to Carry that qualifies as an alternative to the background check.
P144 Armory honors qualifying Texas LTCs in place of the NICS background check when legally permitted, but we will verify the license and ensure the information is current and valid.
If you do not have a qualifying Texas LTC, we will run the required background check through NICS at the time of pickup.
Delayed Background Checks
If your background check receives a delay status, P144 Armory will follow all applicable laws and procedures.
If we receive a proceed response before the Brady date, we will contact you as soon as possible so you can complete the transfer.
P144 Armory honors the Brady date for delayed background checks when legally permitted. If the Brady date arrives and the firearm may legally be transferred, we will contact you to complete the pickup.
Denied Background Checks
If your background check is denied, P144 Armory cannot transfer the firearm to you.
In the event of a denial, the customer is responsible for coordinating the return with the original seller or sending FFL. The customer must provide P144 Armory with a valid return shipping label before the firearm can be returned.
The transfer fee must still be paid in full. The transfer fee covers the work already completed by P144 Armory, including receiving the firearm, logging it in, preparing the transfer, processing paperwork, and handling the background check process.
P144 Armory will not return the firearm until the transfer fee has been paid and a valid return shipping label has been provided.
Once the required payment and return shipping label have been received, we will make reasonable efforts to return the firearm to the sender the same day or the next business day.
Denied transfers must be resolved promptly. If a denied customer does not respond, does not provide a return shipping label, refuses to cooperate, or fails to make approved written arrangements with P144 Armory within 30 days, storage fees and/or administrative fees may begin.
If the firearm remains unresolved after 90 days, unless P144 Armory has approved a longer timeframe in writing, the firearm may be considered abandoned and may become the property of P144 Armory.
P144 Armory will make reasonable efforts to work with the customer and avoid this outcome whenever possible. However, denied transfers cannot remain unresolved indefinitely.
Damaged, Incorrect, or Problem Shipments
If a transferred firearm arrives damaged, incorrect, missing parts, or otherwise not as expected, the issue is between the customer and the seller or sending FFL.
P144 Armory is the receiving and transferring dealer. We are not the original seller and are not responsible for the condition, accuracy, contents, or fulfillment of the customer’s online order.
However, we will work with the customer to help facilitate a return when possible.
If the firearm needs to be returned, the customer must provide a valid return shipping label and pay the transfer fee.
If a replacement firearm is sent to P144 Armory within 30 days for the same transaction, P144 Armory may apply the paid transfer fee toward the replacement transfer so the customer is not charged twice for the same issue.
This will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
Return to Sender
P144 Armory may return a transferred firearm to the sender when legally permitted and when the following requirements are met:
-
The customer has paid the transfer fee
-
The customer or seller has provided a valid return shipping label
-
The return is being sent to the original sender, valid FFL, or other legally authorized recipient
-
All required paperwork and internal procedures have been completed
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer or seller.
P144 Armory will work diligently to help resolve transfer issues, but we are not responsible for seller errors, denied background checks, incorrect shipments, damaged items, or other issues outside of our control.
Storage Fees and Abandoned Firearms
Firearms should be picked up promptly once the customer has been notified that the transfer is ready.
P144 Armory allows 30 days from notification for pickup before storage fees begin.
After 30 days, a storage fee of $25 per month, per firearm, will apply.
All transfer fees and storage fees must be paid before the firearm can be transferred, returned, or otherwise released.
If a firearm is not picked up, returned, or otherwise resolved within 90 days, unless P144 Armory has approved a longer timeframe in writing, the firearm may be considered abandoned and may become the property of P144 Armory.
P144 Armory reserves the right to dispose of abandoned firearms in any lawful manner it deems appropriate.
P144 Armory does not want to treat any customer's firearm as abandoned and will make reasonable efforts to contact and work with the customer before doing so. However, customers are responsible for staying in communication, completing the transfer process, and paying all applicable fees.
Non-Firearm Items
Please do not ship non-firearm items to P144 Armory unless approved in advance.
This includes accessories, parts, optics, magazines, ammunition, or other non-serialized items.
If non-firearm items are shipped to P144 Armory without prior approval, a $15 non-firearm handling fee may apply.
Storage fees may also apply to non-firearm items if they are not picked up within 30 days.
