Sell, Consign, & Store

P144 Armory offers several options for customers who want to sell, consign, or safely store their firearms.

Looking for a quick sale, more value through consignment, or secure firearm storage for a period of time? We can help walk you through the process.

We Buy Guns

P144 Armory buys select firearms directly from customers.

This is the simplest option for customers who want a faster, straightforward sale without waiting for the firearm to sell on consignment.

Purchase offers are based on the firearm's used market value, condition, wear, demand, included accessories, original box, magazines, and overall resale potential.

P144 Armory may offer up to 70% of used market value, depending on the firearm and its condition.

Firearms must be inspected in person before an offer can be made. Some firearms may not be eligible for purchase depending on condition, market demand, legal restrictions, or store inventory needs.  If you have an entire collection please email Chris@p144armory.com

Consignment

Consignment is a good option for customers who want P144 Armory to help sell their firearm while potentially receiving more than a direct buy offer.

With consignment, the firearm remains listed for sale through P144 Armory. Once the firearm sells, P144 Armory retains the agreed consignment fee and the remaining proceeds are paid to the customer.

We are selective about the firearms we take on consignment. In many cases we would rather buy your firearm outright, which is faster for you and gets cash in your hand the same day. If a firearm is a better fit for consignment, we will talk through that option with you.

Consignment Fee

P144 Armory's consignment fee is:

20% of the final sale price or $75 minimum, whichever is greater.

This fee covers intake, inspection, secure handling, display space, administrative work, customer communication, and completion of the sale process.

Consignment Term

The standard consignment term is 90 days.

During this period, P144 Armory will make reasonable efforts to display, market, and sell the firearm at the agreed asking price.

The asking price is discussed with the customer before the firearm is listed. P144 Armory may recommend a price based on condition, market value, demand, and resale potential.

When the firearm is brought in, the customer sets a walk-away floor: the lowest price they are willing to accept. If the firearm has not sold, P144 Armory will recommend a price adjustment at 30 days and again at 60 days to improve the chance of a sale. We will never list below your floor without your approval, and all price changes require customer approval.

Early Cancellation

If a customer chooses to cancel the consignment before the end of the initial 90-day consignment term, a $75 early cancellation fee applies.

This fee helps cover the time, intake, storage, display, and administrative work already performed.

After 90 Days

If the firearm has not sold after 90 days, the customer may choose to:

  • Pick up the firearm
  • Continue the consignment month to month

If the customer chooses to pick up the firearm after the initial 90-day period, they may retrieve it at no additional charge once all required paperwork and legal requirements are completed.

If the customer chooses to continue the consignment after 90 days, the firearm may remain on consignment on a month-to-month basis for $15 per month.

Important Consignment Notes

All consignment firearms must be reviewed and accepted by P144 Armory.

P144 Armory reserves the right to refuse any firearm for consignment based on condition, safety concerns, legal restrictions, marketability, or store policy.

Consignment firearms cannot be released back to the customer until all required paperwork, identification, applicable fees, and legal requirements are completed.

The customer is responsible for staying in communication with P144 Armory during the consignment period.

Firearm Storage

P144 Armory offers firearm storage for customers who need a safe place to store their firearm for a period of time.

Storage may be useful for customers who are traveling, moving, handling a personal situation, waiting on paperwork, or simply need temporary firearm storage outside of the home.

Storage Pricing

Handgun Storage — $40 per month

Long Gun Storage — $50 per month

Storage fees are charged monthly.

A valid credit card may be required to remain on file for recurring storage payments.

Storage Process

Firearms placed into storage will be checked in, documented, and stored securely by P144 Armory.

P144 Armory intends to use protective firearm storage bags or similar storage materials designed to help protect firearms while in storage and reduce exposure to moisture.

Customers should make sure firearms are unloaded before bringing them in for storage.

Picking Up a Stored Firearm

Stored firearms may be picked up during normal business hours, subject to P144 Armory's policies and any applicable legal requirements.

The customer must present valid identification and complete any required paperwork before the firearm can be released.

All outstanding storage fees and applicable charges must be paid before the firearm is released back to the customer.

Missed Payments and 90-Day Abandonment Policy

Customers are responsible for keeping their payment method current and staying in communication with P144 Armory.

If a storage payment is missed, the account may be considered past due and the 90-day abandonment process may begin.

P144 Armory will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer and resolve the unpaid balance before treating any stored firearm as abandoned.

If the firearm remains unpaid, unclaimed, or otherwise unresolved for 90 days after the missed payment or required pickup date, the firearm may be considered abandoned, subject to applicable law and P144 Armory policy.

P144 Armory reserves the right to recover unpaid storage fees and handle abandoned firearms in any lawful manner it deems appropriate.

P144 Armory does not want to treat any customer's firearm as abandoned and will make reasonable efforts to contact and work with the customer before doing so. However, customers are responsible for maintaining payment, staying in communication, and picking up their firearm when required.
