In-Person Texas LTC Class

Classroom + Range Qualification — $90

P144 Armory offers an in-person Texas License to Carry class with our partner instructor. This class includes the required classroom portion, written exam, and range proficiency qualification.

The classroom portion covers important topics related to Texas License to Carry requirements, firearm safety, carry responsibilities, use of force considerations, safe storage practices, and applicable state and federal laws.

The range qualification is a pass/fail proficiency course. This is not a beginner handgun training class. Students should already be comfortable safely handling, loading, unloading, and firing their handgun before attending.

We strongly recommend bringing the handgun you are most comfortable with and your own ammunition. Bring your A game and choose the firearm that gives you the best chance to qualify confidently and safely.

What to Bring

Students should bring:

• Valid government-issued photo ID or Driver License
• Safe, serviceable handgun
• 100 rounds of ammunition recommended
• Eye and ear protection
• Closed-toe shoes
• Weather-appropriate clothing for the range
• Pen and paper for notes

Students may bring their own firearm and ammunition, which is recommended.

Rental Option

Firearm rentals are available for students who need one.

Rental package: $50. Includes firearm rental and ammunition for the qualification.

If a student needs to shoot a second time using a rental firearm, the additional ammunition charge is $40.

Rental fees are separate from the $90 class price.

Students who need to rent a firearm must notify the instructor ahead of time so the proper rental firearm and ammunition can be available.

Refund Policy

Refunds are available up to 72 hours before the class.

Important Notes

This LTC class is not designed to teach someone how to shoot. It is a proficiency course required for the Texas License to Carry process.

Students must be able to safely operate their handgun before attending the range qualification. If you are new to firearms or not yet comfortable with your handgun, we recommend taking a beginner handgun lesson before signing up for the LTC class.
